Emperor Xuanzong of Tang ( 8 September 685 – 3 May 762 ), personal name Li Longji, was an emperor of the Tang dynasty of China, reigning from 712 to 756 CE.
Xuanzong had one poem collected in the famous poetry anthology Three Hundred Tang Poems, in the style of the five-character-regular-verse (wulu) form and in the huaigu genre, and which was translated by Witter Bynner as "I Pass Through the Lu Dukedom with a Sigh and a Sacrifice for Confucius".
